Verizon and Samsung have issued a press release today, confirming the next handset in the Droid series. The $299.99 (ouch!) Droid Charge arrives a week from today, April 28th, and features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera, and front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. The processor might be single core (1GHz) but the Android 2.2-powered Droid Charge is on a short list of devices that offer support for Verizon's 4G LTE network.
