Word came down over the weekend that Vodafone customers were seeing a Gingerbread update for their Samsung Galaxy S handsets. Awesome, right? Not so fast. Today we've learned that someone has stopped the update dead in its tracks. According to the carrier, Google is responsible for killing off the 2.3 rollout. It is said that the problem behind the update is not universal and that Vodafone phones are unaffected. Engadget feels this is yet another bump in the Samsung road and we see no reason to disagree.
